About Raymond the Artist

I’ve always wanted to try everything since I was a little boy. I wanted to be an actor, or designer, build houses, have a farm, just about everything. But then, adulthood came knocking on the door and I had to put them aside to take care of my family.

I learned to crochet when I was in camp. I think I was 12 at the time and fell in love with it. I thought it was the coolest thing. I did not care for kickballs and basketball. I was heavy into crafts. I even dipped my hands in candle wax to make a hand candle! It was fun, don’t tell Aunt Gayle. (IYKYK)

Crocheting introduced me to the world of Fashion through textiles and fibers and I learned how to design and sew clothes. I hosted my very first Fashion show at RIT/NTID. It was an amazing experience. It felt good to share my passion with the world. After a while, I realized wow I miss creating art. So, I hit the art stores and bought supplies! I hope you enjoy what I create and that you resonate with my story. A lot of ideas are waiting to be shown. So let’s paint, write, draw, film, design, or whatever it is you love to do, together.
